BRAZIL HUMILIATED!!!!
No one saw that one coming. If you had predicted the score line, you would have been assessed for any mental illness. Samba boys were disgraced by the German POWERHOUSE. We knew we were in for some goals after the match took an explosive start with both teams wanting to get their names on the score sheet ASAP. In the 13th minute Muller opened the scoring with a tap in, after he was left unmarked during a corner kick.
The second goal made history as Klose made it 2-0 Germany. The striker scored his 16th World Cup goal becoming the highest scorer World Cup history, ironically eclipsing Brazil’s all-time great Ronaldo.
Brazil shocked concedes another goal in quick succession Kross fires a low shot past Caesar. All looked dark and gloomy for the boys in yellow; Kroos got his second of the night moments after the restart. Brazil looked bamboozled. 3min after Kroos made it 4-0 Khedira put his name on the score sheet when he made it 5-0. The whole world was shocked, no one expected this, it was a massacre..
The second half wasn’t as explosive as the first, but it did produce three goals. Brazil should have scored at least 3 goals in the opening 15min, but Neuer denied them, he wanted non-of it. The German goal keeper made an incredible double save from Paulinho, who should’ve scored. Schurrle came on to add to Brazil’s misery, the German striker passed the ball into the net after intricate passing from the German machine. Schurrle got his second of the night as he scored the goal of the night. A sweet strike from the Chelsea man beat Caesar as the ball cannoned from the underside of the bar into the net, making it 7-0 Germany.
Oscar got a consolation goal as he beat Neuer one-on-one. The Brazilian tried by getting one back, but it was like a drop in the ocean, it just didn’t matter. Germany through to the final after an emphatic win, leaving Brazil to hide with their tails in-between their legs.

Super eagles keep the flag flying high for Africa
Explosive start with a trace of Leo Leo Messi. History was made when Argentina and Nigeria met in today’s match. The game’s opening two goals within the first 5 min was the first time this milestone has ever happened in world cup history. Argentina didn’t waste any time as Di Maria hit a low shot which the Nigerian shot stopper did his best to keep out but he couldn’t do anything about the rebound that fell to the one and only Messi who roofed the ball making it 1-0 to Argentina.
CLICK CLICK BANG!!! Nigeria’s Musa curls one past Romero equaling matters for Nigeria exactly 1min after they went behind. It sure did seem like we were in for some goals today. Enyeama was Di Maria’s nemesis, the shot stopper kept every attempt out from the skillful winger. It didn’t matter whether it was from long range or short as long as it came from Di Maria the keeper was going to keep it out.
Free kick attempt 1: Messi is over the ball, he curls the ball over the wall and as it looked to be headed for the top corner what do you know? Enyeama keeps it out. Free kick attempt 2: Messi gets another free kick from a similar position from the previous one but a bit closer to be fair. This time the little magician makes no mistake, he curls the ball over the wall into the top corner leaving Enyeama dead still with nothing to do except admire the Argentines superb free kick, 2-1 Messi. 2min after the break Nigeria come out guns blazing as Musa finds himself through the Argentina defense, he shows composure and sends the keeper the wrong way making 2-2 for the Super Eagles.
Argentina had plans of their own as they took the lead 2min after Nigeria had equalized. Marcos Rojo unorthodoxly scored with his knee from a corner delivered by Messi making it 3-2 to the team in Sky blue. Nigeria tried to pull one back to no avail and Argentina tried to increase their lead but they shared the same story as Nigeria. The match ended 3-2 to Argentina’s favor sending both teams to the knockout stages of the tournament.
Let’s shave. THE RIGHT WAY!
I will start by admitting that I don’t have a single patch of facial hair, I survive but having one or two individuals on my face which I have named Harry and Larry respectively. I know that my beard is coming along and I will be burdened by the fact that I prefer a clean face. Most men are ideally taught by their fathers, uncles how to shave and others by YouTube. Movies often portray shaving as one hell of a mission when starting out, and I have to say it seems like James Bond mission. Holding a sharp eraser near your face and having to scarp every last bit of hair off with it does seem a bit more than daring. I’ve found something that will help you young ones still finding their feet in the world of shaving. It’s a video courtesy of “Bump Patrol”. Enjoy the video and one thing remember not to cut yourself because I hear it sucks BIG TIME!
Azzurri dumped out
It was winner takes all in a showdown between Italy and sneaky Uruguay. A match of this magnitude between two great footballing nations was expected in the knock out stages of the tournament but Costa Rica made sure we got one pretty early. It was a quiet match which didn’t really live up to the hype. The first half was played at energy reserving pace with nothing much to shout about. Uruguay should have really came out guns blazing since they were the ones who needed a win to progress but they had other ideas.
Pirlo had the ball work its magic when he had it dip and swirl from a free kick but the goal keeper was up to the challenge. A dull first half preceded by a second half of the same nature until Marchisio violently kicked Rio in the calf earning him a straight red card.
Italy down to 10 men. Reverse pass from Cavani let Suarez through Italy’s defense; the striker was 1 on 1 with the keeper which drew a great save from the veteran keeper. When ever there is Suarez there is controversy. The ill-disciplined Uruguayan striker managed to take a bite off Chiellini. The striker just doesn’t learn, I think he even lost a tooth after his “vampirish” display which the ref totally missed.
Godin towered everybody as he headed the ball from a corner. The skipper managed to drag his side by the scruff of the neck into the last 16. Full time 1-0 Uruguay, Italy have nobody to blame but themselves as they fail to make the last 16 again in two consecutive years after they were crowned world champions back in Germany.

IT’S A GAME OF TWO HALVES
The black stars held their own against the German Powerhouse. It was a game of two halves as the first half was pretty much eventless, in contrast to a captivating second half which produced 4 goals and 2 world cup records matched and broken. The Boateng brothers were up against each other which was weird enough. The first goal came 6min into the second half when a quality cross came from the right found Goetze in the box, the diminutive player scored with an inventive finish when he headed the ball down to his knee into the net making it 1-0 Germany.
The Black stars of Africa didn’t take long to reply. A beautiful cross found the shortest man in the box Andre Ayew who leaped above Mustafi to guide the ball with his head into the far corner, leveling matters up for Ghana. Ghana’s opener breathed life into the Ghanaians as they pressed the Germans. Muntari picked up the ball in midfield and slid Gyan a champagne pass, the striker made no mistake as he composed himself to blast the ball past Neuer. The Black stars a known for their celebratory dances didn’t miss up on this opportunity to show off their moves as they celebrated taking the lead. The black stars missed up on a great opportunity to go 3-1 up as lovely play from J.Ayew saw him run down the line into the box. He saw the headlines flashing before him and wanted the glory for himelf as he tried to take the chance but instead took a weak shot at Neuer.
Things looked good for Ghana until two of Germany’s veterans were introduced into the game Klose and Schweinsteiger. Couple of minutes into the game Klose made history by equaling Ronaldo’s tally of most goals at a world cup. He scored his 15th goal when he pounced on a ball in the box to equal matters for Germany. With that goal he also became the oldest play to score at a world cup at the age of 36. Great defending from Mensah kept Ghana in the game ending the match at 2 all. With that draw Ghana’s world cup dream is hanging by a thread and Germany are anything but secured of a place in the knockout stages.
